Son zamanlarda giderek normal zamanda dinlemediğim hatta adını çok fazla duyulmamış özellikle İngiliz- grublara takmış durumdayız.
Bunlardan biri isimlerini The 4400 dizisinin soundtrack’lerinde gördüğüm Kasabian. Grup, 99′dan bu yana alternatif rock çalmakta ve iki albümleri piyasada. Grubun en sevdiğim özelliklerinden biri parçalarını internetten ücretsiz olarak dinlemenize izin vermesi.
Bir diğer grup, The O.C. dizisinin soundtrack’lerini yapan Bloc Party. The O.C. soundtrack’inde de yer alan “Blue Light”, en iyi parçalarından biri.
İsimlerini 2001′deki “Alcoholic” duyuran diğer İngiliz band grubumuzsa Starsailor. Alcoholic kadar performanslı olmasa da Silence Is Easy albümde dinlemeye değer parçalar mevcut.

Şimdilik “İngiliz grup” denildiğinde ilk aklıma gelenler.

Kendisini tesadüf eseri, internetten indirdiğim “Dark Eyed Molly�? adlı şarkısıyla tanıdım.
Bugün nerede, ne zaman bir blues ya da caz etkinliği olsa orada olmamı sağlayan, bana blues ve cazı sevdiren, 1996 yılının bugününde(2 Kasım), genç yaşta(33) kansere yenik düşen, bir çok sanatçı gibi öldükten sonra değeri bilinen üstad..

Hayatımda canlı dinlemek istediğim ender sanatçılardan biri..
Umarım gittiği yerde bol bol şarkı söyleyebiliyordur…
